The Breathless Society: What does it look like to be spiritually dead? What are the characteristics in essence?

The Breathless Society loves to sit idle and pay lip service to God instead of truly living out their lives for Christ. They love to perform sacred religious chants and rituals. However, they have yet to place their Lord in Christ. They prefer to place their alliance to video games, alcoholism, lustful thoughts and desires, pride, shame, guilt, anger, impatience, quick-tempered, and the list goes on. There are two ways you can overcome this--one is to not be convicted by the Holy Spirit and live in sin forever, or two is to turn from your wicked ways and receive new breath in your souls. Tonight, I will be looking at key symbols of the breathless society.

First, they turn their backs on God. They do not come to the forgiving God, who is sitting on the porch waiting for them to come. He is just waiting patiently for you to come. Come to repentance. Come with a firm desire to make the Lord over your life. Do not give in to the breathless society and turn their backs on God, not breathing in the new breath of eternal life which is Jesus Christ.

Second, they have unbelief. Their eyes cannot be enlightened by the Word of God. They are close-minded, unable to see the light unless someone shines it into their lives (Matthew 5:14 — Be the Light). Are you that light? They also do not call sin sin. Everything that is against the nature and characteristics of God is sin. Do not have the sin of unbelief.

Third, they live for the world rather than for God. The World cannot replace the void inside your heart. Only Jesus can truly satisfy your desires. Do not love the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the lust of the soul. Do not live for the World. Do not become spiritually breathless, wandering in the earth, not knowing the loving Savior of the world, Jesus Christ. He is the firm foundation and our steadfast, loving anchor. Turn back to God. I plead to you. He is sitting on the porch waiting for you. What is holding you back from receiving the free gift of eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord?

Fourth, they burn out their light. They do not live for the Light of the World. (Matthew 5:14). They extinguish their light and breathe in the toxic fumes of Satan's lies, causing them to be motionless and breathless. Do not breathe in the toxic fumes of Satan's lies. Do not live in unbelief. Come to the forgiving Father. He is waiting for you with open arms.

In Conclusion, why would you want to continue to live in sin when you can spend the rest of your life in fellowship with Jesus Christ? Why do you continue in your sin? What benefits has sinning got you? I have sinned, and there is no benefit whatsoever to sinning against a merciful, loving, and caring God. He is waiting for you. Do not burn out your light. Come to Jesus. Come to true repentance. He is waiting for you! Will you come to repentance and turn from your wicked ways? Please do. He does not want anyone to perish but to have eternal life. He wants you. He has a place for you. What is your holdup? God will remember your sins no more. You never know what tomorrow will bring. So turn back to God now. You will never regret your decision in Jesus Christ. Will you put your life in Jesus's hands and turn the keys over to him over your life? He will always provide for you, even though it might not look like what you expect.
