The Dusty Spiritual Lenses: Spiritual Lessons to keep a Christ-centered Lifestyle

1)  Repenting of your sins daily. (1 John 1:9).

a. When you are living a Christ-centered life, you will not automatically stop sinning. Even if you sin, you still have the Holy Spirit living inside of you. All you have to do is have a repentant heart and confess your sins before God, and he will forgive you. He will cast your sins as far as the east is from the west. He will remember your sins no more.

2) Reading God’s Word daily. (Hebrews 4:12).

a. The Word of God will never leave you void. It is sharper than a two-edged sword. (Hebrews 4:12). It will always be refreshing for your soul.

3) Reflecting on God’s Word (Joshua 1:8-9)

a. Joshua 1:8-9 “Do not let this book of law depart from your mouth.”

4)  Repeating God’s Word. (James 1:22-25)

a. (Journal or memorize God’s Word until you can live it out). James 1:22-25. Do not be like the man who didn’t remember what he looked like in the mirror because the mirror was stained with sin.

5) Reengaging in God’s Word with others (Hebrews 10:24-25).

a. Community can warm your heart and help you live a Christ-centered lifestyle so that your spiritual lens does not cloud over with spiritual dust like lustful thoughts, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts or actions, worry, or addictions.

6) Reinviting the Holy Spirit in God’s Word by praying. (Colossians 4:2)

a. We are to pray without ceasing and without end. It means that we can pray through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit knows our innermost thoughts and ambitions.

b. Colossians 4:2 “Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
